I'm also not your Dad's accountant who talks to you like you should understand what he's saying and then make you feel bad for being completely lost.

Is my business too small for bookkeeping?

Nope.

Every business needs clean books. Every business owner needs to know their numbers (sales, profits, costs) so they can make smart decisions.

If you're plan is to grow and if you're serious about your business then its time to take your numbers seriously.

My books are a mess. Do I need to do anything before working with you?

Nope. You don't.

Leave the mess to me, I'll take it off your hands.

Part of the onboarding process is getting your books caught up from the start of your business or the start of the year. This is a new client incentive and is discounted.

It's all part of the process and I'm here to help.

Do I need bookkeeping software?

You do not need to already have it to start working with me. Frankly, I prefer when you don't - it's easier to start with a clean slate. But if you do we will see what state it is in and make a decision from there.

My preferred software is Xero and I will do the heavy lifting of transferring you over to it if you are elsewhere.

The Xero subscription will be included in my monthly fee.

What do I need to provide to you to handle my books?

I request online access to banks, credit cards, payment processors and invoicing system. Almost all of these allow read-only accountant login and I will help you figure out how to set that us so that your data is secure.

This allows me to work efficiently and avoid bothering you for information that can be found within these platforms.

What is the process for starting to work with you?

1. Fill out the Discovery Form below.

2. Book a Call or submit the Questionnaire.

After submitting the Discovery Form you will be given the choice to book a free Discovery Call with me or submit a Questionnaire with additional information so that I can put together a quote for you.

*I offer the 2 options of a Discovery Call or Questionnaire so that I can serve you in a way that feels most aligned to you. I never want time, scheduling or not wanting to do a discovery call to stand in the way of working together.

3. Quote

Once I have your information from the Call or Questionnaire I will put together a quote for you. The quote will consist of 2 parts. First, the monthly fee for my bookkeeping services. Second, the onboarding fee, which is a one time cost to get your books setup and caught up. The time of year and start date of the bookkeeping will be the biggest factor in this cost. However, you will not be charged my monthly rate multiplied by the amount of months that need to be caught up. This fee is discounted for new monthly clients.

4, Contract & Payment

Once you accept the quote I will send you a contract to sign and then you can make your first payment.

5. Onboarding

Next we will schedule the onboarding call during which we will set up your Xero account, connect your bank accounts, and work on getting me read only access to your bank accounts so I can pull statements for you every month.

What can I expect from the monthly bookkeeping process?

Once your books are set up I maintain your books monthly.

After each month ends I will pull your bank statements, categorize your transactions and put together a report.

You will receive one email with any questions/clarifications as needed and once those questions are answered you'll receive a report with highlights of what your numbers are telling you.

I'll have your books to you by the end of the month, if not sooner.

What reports do you provide?

All clients are provided with a customized Profit and Loss Statement (P&L). Customized for your specific business with information that you care about the most.

When the report is sent to you I will highlight the most important and relevant information in a way that is simple and easy to understand.

You will also be given a suggested set aside for taxes, which I recommend you place in a high yield savings account.

What about the cost?

My base monthly package starts at $375 per month and will vary based on complexity and needs.

When we work together and implement good systems that allow me to deliver high quality accurate data most clients will fall into this minimum.

If you books need to be caught up there will be a one time onboarding fee however, this is discounted for new monthly bookkeeping clients.

You will be billed on a monthly auto-pay subscription.

I understand that not everyone feels comfortable getting on a discovery call. Additionally, time is precious and we all have a limited amount of it. Being respectful of these two things I like to offer two options. In order to provide you a quote I'll require more detailed information about your business. This can be submitted via questionnaire or discussed during a discovery call.
